MORSE is seeking a Contract Specialist to join our Business Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of new and existing contracts, subcontracts, and other agreements. In this position, you will collaborate with business operations, program managers, and chief engineers to ensure successful full contract lifecycle management. You will work closely with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and Leadership to ensure contractual compliance while enabling rapid innovation for our partners across the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), intelligence community, and defense industry primes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cradle-to-grave administration of diverse contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M), subcontracts, modifications, and purchase order awards.

  • Review, redline, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), teaming agreements, software licenses, and standard contract terms.

  • Analyze RFPs and contract documents for FAR/DFARS clauses, flow-downs, and special provisions, identifying risks and ensuring full regulatory compliance.

  • Partner with technical leads to monitor contract milestones, CDRLs (Contract Data Requirements Lists), and delivery schedules.

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for government contracting officers, prime contractors, and internal project teams.

  • Coordinate with finance for invoice submittals, funding/payment tracking, and system data entry within our ERP system.

  • Support Government Furnished Property (GFP/GFE) tracking/reporting and drive timely contract closeout activities.

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of work experience in defense contracts management and/or procurement

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field

  • Knowledge of procurement regulations including FAR/DFARS

  • Experience reviewing, redlining, and managing NDAs, subcontracts, and contract modifications

  • Experience/familiarity with ERP systems (examples include JAMIS, Deltek, and Unanet)

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven, often fast-paced environment

  • Highly organized and outstanding attention to detail 

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain contract files and records

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proven interpersonal skills and experience building strong relationships

  • Experience reviewing documents to include contracts, subcontracts, and NDAs

  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

 

MORSE Corp’s salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.

Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an “open” leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specific number of paid sick or vacation days. However, this policy is not an “unlimited” paid leave policy.

$80,000—$100,000 USD
