About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Account Executive to source, pursue, and close net-new partnerships with wealth management firms. This is a full-cycle hunting role: you'll build your own pipeline, run discovery, navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes, and carry deals from first conversation to signed agreement. You'll operate at the front lines of a major shift in how financial advisors grow their businesses. We're a lean, high-velocity team, which means real autonomy, broad scope, and a direct hand in shaping how we sell, what we prioritize, and how we win. You'll bring analytical rigor to how you prospect, position, and negotiate, and partner with product, marketing, and analytics to turn field insight into competitive advantage. Datalign is based in Cambridge, MA. We have a hybrid policy, but for this role we're flexible on where you work and how often you're in the office, as this role involves regular travel to partners, prospects, and industry events.

What You'll Do

Hunting & Full-Cycle Sales
  • Identify and engage high-fit wealth management firms from first contact to signed partnership.
  • Own the full sales cycle for net-new accounts: discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close. You will structure and negotiate agreements from first conversation to launch.
  • Develop and execute plans that align Datalign's value proposition to each firm's growth priorities.
  • Lead complex deals involving C-suite, finance, compliance, and operations stakeholders.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline, maintaining accurate forecasting and disciplined stage progression.
  • Become an expert in the financial advisory industry to identify strong-fit prospects and speak credibly to their growth priorities.
Cross-functional Influence
  • Collaborate with our Customer Success team on smooth onboarding and handoffs.
  • Contribute field insight to inform product roadmap.
  • Represent Datalign at industry events and with key prospects.
  • Partner with leadership to set quarterly targets and forecasts, and help shape our sales playbooks and objection-handling approaches.

What We're Looking For

  • A true hunter: comfortable initiating cold outreach and working with C-suite and senior decision-makers.
  • 7+ years of B2B SaaS or fintech sales experience, with a track record of sourcing and closing net-new business.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding quota in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (6–12+ months) with ACV of $100K+.
  • Command of a modern sales methodology (MEDDIC, Challenger, or equivalent).
  • Strong pipeline management, forecasting discipline, and CRM hygiene (Salesforce or equivalent).
  • Comfortable with financial modeling, forecasting, and translating data into a clear commercial narrative.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, flat environment; results-driven and eager to contribute.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling to financial services firms.
  • Experience selling lead-generation, marketing automation, or AI-powered products to financial advisors.
  • Industry experience in fintech, marketplaces, or performance-based marketing.
  • Familiarity with compliance and procurement processes in regulated financial services environments.
  • Deep understanding of financial advisory growth drivers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $135–150K + generous commission package.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible paid time off
  • 401(k)

Application Requirements

To apply, please submit:
  • Resume highlighting your net-new sales and closing achievements.
  • Cover Letter on why you're excited to join a fintech startup and how your background translates to hunting and closing partnerships.
  • AI Enhancement Paragraph: A short paragraph (150–250 words) on how you'd use AI tools to sharpen your prospecting, partner insights, pricing, and deal strategy, including where AI adds value and where its boundaries are.
