Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Global Senior Director to lead the global launch strategy and preparation for nucresiran, Alnylam’s third-generation RNAi therapeutic under investigation for the treatment of ATTR amyloidosis. Nucresiran aims to redefine the modern standard of care in ATTR and is a potential flagship brand for Alnylam. This critical role will serve as the Global Brand Lead for nucresiran, as well as lead commercial assessments of adjacent category opportunities as we aspire to strengthen our leadership in this growing and dynamic category.

This role reports to VP, Global TTR Lead.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead global launch planning and governance for nucresiran, including launch readiness milestones, commercial deliverables, and cross-functional decision-making, in close collaboration with global and regional partners.
  • Shape commercialization decisions across the development lifecycle by providing commercial input into labeling strategy, launch sequencing, indication planning, portfolio prioritization, and global governance activities
  • Development and refinement of the global brand strategy, positioning and value story.
  • Lead implementation of global commercialization strategy in partnership with regional and cross functional teams to ensure successful product launch
  • Develop and socialize disease area understanding (TPP, patient flow, patient journey, competitor landscape) as we prepare for an optimal launch over multiple indications.
  • Influence senior leaders to support data generation strategies and optimal and timely investments to ensure ongoing portfolio differentiation and evidence-based value
  • Interpret and integrate customer, market and competitive insights, including market research and landscape assessments, into nucresiran launch plans and broader TTR franchise strategy.
  • Oversee global market development strategy, including disease education, market shaping, customer engagement strategy, campaign development, and creation of global launch assets.
  • Lead Agency of Record and external partner relationships to ensure delivery of high-quality strategic and executional work.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and external experts to inform commercialization strategy and evidence generation priorities.
  • Commercial lead for potential future TTR assets (e.g. depleter)
  • Lead commercial assessment of adjacent category opportunities.
  • Manage 1-2 direct reports.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree with over 15 years of pharmaceuticals experience.
  • Launch experience (ideally US and global).
  • Clinical acumen (ideally commercial development or research experience) to drive brand and category leadership in partnership with medical affairs.
  • Proven ability to pivot quickly in response to clinical data shifts, competitive threats, or market events - anticipate problems/opportunities and have a plan.
  • Exceptional strategic planning, analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate business challenges.
  • Proven record of leadership. Demonstrated impact leading matrixed teams with high level of accountability and engagement.
  • Ability to foster a culture of innovation, accountability and performance in cross functional global teams.
  • Data and insight driven – proven ability to use market research, segmentation, and analytics to guide creative development as well as measure impact of activities.
  • Deep understanding of HCP behaviors, evidence-based marketing, and regulatory-compliant promotion
  • Able to align and inspire cross-functional teams and markets around a shared strategy.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, ability to take learnings and competitive insights and synthesize inro clear implications and actions.

The pay range below reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
