As a Wellness Specialist, you’ll inspire and support residents by leading engaging wellness programs, promoting strength, mobility, and overall well-being. Through expert instruction, innovative fitness classes, and meaningful connections, you’ll help participants maintain independence, improve functional ability, and enhance their quality of life.
As a Wellness Specialist, you will:
- Lead Engaging Wellness Programs – Facilitate group exercise classes designed to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance. Provide safe and effective instruction on cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
- Prepare & Innovate Wellness Classes – Plan and organize class content, introduce new exercises, and rotate class formats to keep participants engaged. Set up before class, welcome attendees, and ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.
- Promote a Culture of Wellness – Support quarterly wellness assessments and celebrations. Seek and implement new methods to enhance wellness services, ensuring a high-quality and evolving program.
- Collaborate & Grow the Wellness Community – Build relationships across departments to expand wellness initiatives, increase program participation, and enhance the overall impact of Vivie’s wellness programs.

This job also requires:
- Experience in leading group exercise, wellness programs, or fitness instruction is a plus.
- Knowledge of safe exercise techniques, adaptive fitness, and wellness programming for older adults.
- Ability to physically demonstrate exercises and safely assist participants.
- Certification in group fitness, personal training, or wellness coaching is preferred.
- Ability to pass state mandated background check.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate to residents, staff, and team members.
