SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Plan, direct and coordinate all manufacturing functions in pursuit of achieving plant initiatives and goals. Manager costs, throughput, efficiencies and variances in relationship to the annual plant budget. Communication with plant personnel at all levels to ensure alignment with plant objectives.

The responsibility of this position includes leading the supervision of the Press & Turn, Decoration, Mill room, Fiss and Glazing Departments. Coordinating with Maintenance Departments and other departments to achieve the production plan and master schedule.

The additional challenges of this position relate to meeting diversified production schedules within established time, quality and cost standards and to see new production productivity.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for overall production and productivity improvements as well as safety and quality levels.
Â
Promote safety and quality awareness through robust efforts and coordinate the appropriate responses to safety or quality concerns.
Â
Responsible for strategically planning plant operations to support plant objectives.
Â
Conduct formal weekly meetings with supervisors to communicate weekly challenges and objectives.
Â
Coordinate and improve throughput efficiency through continuous improvement and lean activities and initiatives.
Â
Establish standards of performance, measure results, analyze improvement opportunities and implement process/solutions to maximize overall manufacturing performance.
Â
Effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with staff and plant personnel to achieve plant objectives.
Â
Develop and implement systems supporting teamwork, employee involvement, effective operations skill-set development of manufacturing personnel to promote personal growth and internal advancement.
Â
Administer other personnel functions as necessary.

| MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:   MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: | Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Business related field required. Master’s degree preferred.  5 or more years of incremental growth in a supervisory or plant manufacturing/engineering capacity.  Demonstrated competency in manufacturing operations is required.  Union experience.  Strong interpersonal skills.  Ability to develop and motivate team’s efforts to accomplish goals.   |
