Short Description

The Critical Care Technician (CCT) Educator is primarily responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the CCT training program. The educator is responsible for the overall program including lectures, clinical skills assessments, and written examinations. The educator also provides oversight and guidance for clinical rotations and remediation in congruence with relevant policies and procedures. The educator is also responsible for developing and supporting activities to foster the structured onboarding and continued professional development of CCTs. 

 

  • Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the CCT training program.   
  • Serve as faculty for the CCT training program for classroom, skills lab, and clinical rotations ensuring student competence. 
  • Ensure all instructional material is relevant and aligned with current evidence-based practice guidelines and organizational regulatory, clinical, and patient safety standards. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide clinical opportunities for students enrolled in the program ensure that all clinical requirements are met.   
  • Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to in a way that promotes a positive learning environment and meets established goals and deadlines. 
  • Monitor and evaluate student attendance and performance and provide feedback in a timely manner.  

  • Follows all integrity guidelines of NHA to ensure no manipulation of student data, performance and/or attendance occur.
  • Evaluate follow-up data from graduates of the program and unit leadership to assess the effectiveness of the program.  
  • Develop and facilitate organizational activities to promote ongoing professional development and meaningful recognition of CCTs.   
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the CCT training program and CCT role development. 

 

 

Experience Required

Candidate must have clinical practice experience. Education experience preferred.  

Education Requirements

Highschool Diploma/GED required. 

Vocational/Technical School Diploma required. 

Associates Degree or higher preferred.  

License/Certification Requirements

LPN license in the state of New Jersey
