Salary:
At EUSSD, compensation is determined through a comprehensive approach that considers candidate qualifications, role responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational needs. Pay may vary by location with potential eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Environmental department. Environmental: The branch of mechanics that deals with changes in the environment, including temperature, pressure and humidity. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
  • Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
  • Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
  • Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
  • Other - Perform other duties as assigned

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Under General Supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently
  • Regular interaction with clients • Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; working knowledge of refrigeration/thermal systems
  • Able to use all standard Environmental equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; basic MS Office skills; able to understand AC/DC circuits

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred
  • 2-6 Years of experience

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
