Salary:
At EUSSD, compensation is determined through a comprehensive approach that considers candidate qualifications, role responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational needs. Pay may vary by location with potential eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role.
Summary:
The Intern Technician supports the testing and operations team by assisting with routine testing activities, equipment setup, data collection, and documentation. This role provides hands-on experience in a technical testing environment and exposure to industry standards, testing methodologies, and quality processes. The intern works under supervision and contributes to maintaining efficient and accurate testing operations.Â
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with performing basic tests under supervision, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Prepare materials and equipment needed for testing activities.
- Support technicians and engineers with data collection, measurement recording, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate, organized records of test results, logs, and reports.
- Assist with calibration, cleaning, and basic maintenance of testing equipment as directed.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates or observations related to assigned tasks.
- Follow all safety, quality, and compliance requirements within the lab or testing environment.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support testing and operational objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s program in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Technology, or a related field.
- Interest in engineering, quality assurance, or technical operations.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or similar tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Prior coursework or hands-on experience related to testing, laboratory environments, or technical operations.
- Familiarity with basic testing methods and data collection techniques.
- Experience using measurement equipment or technical tools.
- Exposure to quality systems, safety standards, or regulated environments.Â
Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic understanding of testing processes and data collection practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording results.
- Ability to learn and apply new technical skills in a hands-on environment.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Effective time management and task prioritization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members.Â
