Job Overview:

 

Aerojet Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Segment, is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to support production operations through inventory control, material handling, and tooling management. This role is responsible for receiving, organizing, issuing, and maintaining tooling, parts, and production materials to ensure manufacturing teams have the resources needed to meet production schedules. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a warehouse or manufacturing support environment.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Inventory & Tooling Support

  • Receive, stock, organize, and issue tooling, materials, and production supplies.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure materials are stored in designated locations.

  • Pick, stage, and distribute materials to support daily production activities.

  • Conduct routine inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Inspect tooling and equipment for serviceability before issuing to production personnel.

Material Handling

  • Safely move, transport, and organize materials throughout the facility.

  • Ensure inventory and tooling are clearly labeled and properly stored.

  • Maintain clean, organized stockrooms and storage areas.

Documentation

  • Accurately record inventory transactions, material movements, and tooling usage.

  • Maintain inventory records using computer systems and standard Microsoft Office applications.

  • Assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory reporting.

Safety & Teamwork

    • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

    • Work closely with manufacturing, production, and warehouse personnel to support production schedules.

    • Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to inventory accuracy and material flow.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior maintenance and/or warehouse experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior maintenance experience.

 

Preferred Addtional Skills:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Familiarity with computer-based skills: Excel, Power point, Word. Etc

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
