Job Summary: The Senior Supervisor, Operations Management – Test Engineering leads daily test operations for circuit breaker and switchboard products while serving as the technical authority for test methods, processes, and equipment. This role is responsible for executing production commitments and advancing the organization’s technical capability through process standardization, workforce development, and continuous improvement.

The position balances operational execution with hands-on technical leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient testing, while improving product quality and reliability. The role requires strong collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to resolve issues, meet customer requirements, and support business objectives.

Essential Functions

Operations Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of electrical test technicians; drive accountability, engagement, and performance.
  • Execute production plans by prioritizing schedules based on demand, resources, and equipment availability.
  • Ensure alignment to cost, quality, delivery, and safety (EHS) objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet operational targets.
  • Communicate status, risks, and recovery plans to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Interface with customers and vendors to support program execution and issue resolution.
  • Establish structured training and qualification processes aligned with business needs.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain standardized test procedures and work instructions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, technical rigor, and accountability. 

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as subject matter expert for circuit breaker and switchboard testing.
  • Oversee and support execution of electrical testing including dielectric (HiPot), insulation resistance, continuity, contact resistance, functional testing, operational cycling, and burn-in.
  • Provide hands-on support for complex troubleshooting and drive root cause and corrective action (RCCA).
  • Ensure compliance with test standards, procedures, and safety requirements. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field with 4+ years of prior related experience; or
  • Graduate Degree with 2–4 years of prior related experience; or
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with circuit breaker, switchboard, or power distribution system testing.
  • Strong knowledge of dielectric, insulation resistance, contact resistance, and functional testing methods.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability.
  • Experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and standardization.
  • Experience with test system development, integration, and equipment optimization.
  • Familiarity with RF systems, ELINT/COMINT, or complex electronic systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and technical documentation skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $76,500-141,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
