Job Description:

 

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Missile Solutions sector, based in Camden, AR. Candidate will oversee and manage internal and/or external operational aspects of ongoing projects within Production Operations. External aspects require leadership and broad expertise across a multitude of disciplines. Internal aspects may include leading a subset of the project’s scope, or interface between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Influences the adoption of practices, approaches and concepts across multiple disciplines. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops and implements mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with Operations Leadership and peers within various organizations.

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Own the cost, schedule, technical performance, and operational execution of complex production programs with significant business impact.
  • Develop and execute integrated production strategies that align contractual commitments, manufacturing capabilities, and organizational priorities.
  • Serve as the primary operations leader for assigned programs, driving execution across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance, and program management organizations.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership regarding program health, operational risks, resource planning, and execution priorities.
  • Anticipate, assess, and mitigate complex program risks while identifying opportunities to improve operational performance, affordability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead executive-level program reviews, delivering clear, data-driven updates on schedule, financial performance, production readiness, and key operational metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase manufacturing efficiency, throughput, quality, and predictability across multiple production lines.
  • Influence organizational processes, best practices, and operational standards to improve program execution across the business.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal and external customers, ensuring transparent communication and proactive resolution of complex operational issues.
  • Establish performance metrics and governance mechanisms to monitor production operations, enabling timely decision-making and corrective action when required.
  • Mentor junior project managers and operational leaders while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.

  

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • A strong background in financial management, and integrated master planning/scheduling.
  • Experience with operational execution and/or manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present at all levels within the company as well as with external customers.
  • Ability to develop consensus and drive the organization to achieve program goals.
  • Demonstrated highly effective organization, team orientation and leadership skills.
