Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking Quality Supervisor. The Supervisor will communicate and interface with company leaders, peers, direct reports and customers (internal and external). Responsible and accountable for applying quality principles, technical knowledge and continuous improvement philosophies.  Leading and supporting the daily activities within the Quality Inspection team.  Cultivating a culture of quality both within the team and across the site. Assist in maintaining quality and mission assurance strategies to assure quality products meet customer requirements at the lowest cost.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises individual(s) typically consisting of support level employees.
  • Provides day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.
  • Reviews inspection, production schedules and manpower resources.
  • Assigns and manages employees to maximize inspection objectives
  • Participates in establishing and modifying inspection methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures.
  • Maintains reports, records and inspection documents.
  • Establishes training plans.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related Supervisor experience.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Supervisor experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Prior leadership/supervisory experience.
  • Experience with inspection equipment and attribute gauging.
  • Inspections (in process, 1st article, receiving inspections). 
  • Experience with calibrations for calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify conformance to prints.
  • ISO-9001, AS-9100.
  • Reading of blueprints, data, manuals, QADs or other materials to determine specifications, procedures or instruments required for inspection.
