Position: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location:   Cameron Park, CA
Status:   Full Time
Hours:   Monday - Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

General Description: 
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing equipment, Machine shop tools, and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient and uninterrupted operations. This position preforms preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, fabrication, and general repair duties while supporting engineers, machinists, and production staff.

Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, manual mills, lathes, grinders, presses, saws, compressors and other shop equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues and perform timely repairs.
  • Install, assemble, relocate and calibrate machinery and shop equipment.
  • Fabricate and modify machine components, fixtures, guards, and support equipment as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment wear, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
  • Maintain facility systems including lighting, doors, plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, shelving, workstations, and general building repairs.
  • Replace bearings, belts, motors, pumps, valves, hoses, filters, and other mechanical components.
  • Perform welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and light fabrication projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Assist engineering teams with prototype assembly, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and inventory of tools and replacement parts.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and workplace safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Education / Experience Requirements: 
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, machine shop maintenance, engineering support, or related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment.
  • Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
  • High school diploma or GED
