Responsibilities:
The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. The Level II Registered Nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.FT position (40 hours), days, 8- or 10-hour shifts, Monday – Friday. No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
Wilmot Cancer Institute is looking for a registered nurse to join our established team at the Lattimore Blood and Coagulation Disorders Center. No weekends or on-call requirements. This nurse will be specially trained to coordinate care for patients with benign blood disorders such as: Von Willebrand disease, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, Hemoglobinopathies, Anemia, Sickle Cell Disease, Myelodysplastic Syndromes and Bleeding Disorders. Skills needed for this position include strong organizational, communication and assessment skills, dedication and desire to work cohesively with colleagues. This position will have a primary assignment in the clinic setting and will be expected to cross cover into the infusion room with appropriate training provided. Working work closely with an established group of nurses, Apps and Physicians providing coordination of care. Hematology nurses are detail focused, skilled at assessing labs, coordinating care, treating a variety of disease processes, and assisting in procedures.
