PURPOSE OF THE ROLE  

The Electrical Superintendent is a pivotal leader in the execution of construction projects, ensuring alignment with Worley’s purpose of delivering sustainable change. Based on-site, this role provides leadership across construction supervision, field administration, procurement, and engineering. The Superintendent ensures that projects are delivered efficiently, adhere to safety and environmental standards, and contribute to Worley’s sustainability objectives while meeting customer and societal energy needs.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Lead and manage all on-site electrical construction activities, ensuring projects meet quality standards, schedules, and budgets.  

  • Oversee and coordinate field administration, procurement, and engineering functions to ensure seamless project execution aligned with Worley’s sustainability goals.  

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.  

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams, proactively addressing challenges to maintain project momentum.  

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with Worley departments and project stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration across all phases of project delivery.  

  • Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and innovation by promoting practices that reflect Worley’s commitment to environmental stewardship and excellence.  

  • Monitor project progress and generate comprehensive reports to ensure alignment with project milestones and objectives.  

  • Contribute to the development of innovative, sustainability-driven solutions in project planning and execution, reinforcing Worley’s leadership in sustainable transformation.  

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILL SET

  • A university degree in a relevant field or a trade qualification combined with significant field experience.  

  • Proven expertise in leading construction projects of similar scope, with a focus on energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.  

  • Comprehensive understanding of field administration, procurement, and engineering processes in a construction setting.  

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence teams toward achieving project goals.  

  • A strong commitment to integrating sustainability and innovation into project management practices.  

  • Analytical problem-solving capabilities, with sound decision-making skills aligned to company objectives.  

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards, with the ability to champion compliance and foster a safety-first culture on site.  

  • Experience working in dynamic project environments with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes.
