Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position:
Manager, DevelopmentLocated:
CameronThe Manager, Development will be based in Cameron, LA and travel as needed. This position will report to the Vice President of Public Affairs and Development, and will be pivotal in continuing to strengthen the Company’s development efforts and shape its public identity in SWLA and other project areas.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee emergency response planning (ERP) across projects and project areas
- Support cost-sharing agreement obligations across projects and project areas
- Develop and maintain relationships with emergency responders across projects and project areas
- Facilitate local job and procurement inquiries to enhance local participation in southwest Louisiana and east Texas in accordance with Venture Global ethics policies and guidelines
- Attend various community events across project areas
- Lead Community Advisory Group (CAG) meetings in Cameron and potential expansions into other project areas
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders across multiple project areas across southwest Louisiana and east Texas
- Remain visible and accessible to community members in southwest Louisiana and east Texas
- Support and lead various community-focused initiatives across southwest Louisiana and east Texas
- Support other Development Team members and initiatives as needed
- Other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with southwest Louisiana and east Texas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Associate’s degree
- 10+ years working in/or around industrial developments
- 5+ years of emergency response planning or safety for industrial facilities
- Discretion in dealing with confidential material and planning
- High level of multi-tasking and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
