SUPERVISOR: Maintenance Supervisor

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs the facility maintenance under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Keeps the physical plant in safe, working order.
  • Keeps Maintenance Supervisor informed of the status of facility maintenance projects.
  • Makes repairs timely and as efficiently as possible.
  • Checks maintenance log daily and completes tasks as instructed by Supervisor.
  • Is familiar with Texas Department of Health and State Fire Marshall regulations regarding maintenance. Especially, Life Safety Code requirements.
  • Maintains overall appearance of facility physical plant.
  • Establishes and maintains accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Identifies and corrects safety hazards.
  • May pressure wash building exterior, patios, driveways, and sidewalks. May repaint parking lot lines.
  • Maintain safeguards for the care, storage, cleanliness, and use of supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Round the facility checking areas and equipment for cleanliness and operation.
  • These duties are not all-inclusive but provide minimum performance expectations which will be reviewed in the evaluation process. Supervisor may edit, alter, add to, or exclude duties and responsibilities based on the needs of the facility.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS:

o Freedom from illegal use of drugs.

o Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Education and/or Experience

o Experience in Long-Term care setting preferred, but not required.

o Maintenance experience preferred as well as working knowledge of maintenance terminology/ facility systems- PTACs, central AC units, generators, fire panels, sprinkler systems, electrical, plumbing, etc.
