Summary of Position: 

The Sterilization Technician is responsible for keeping the equipment and areas that work is performed on patients in compliance with all occupational health and safety guidelines by conducting thorough cleaning and sterilization of all appliances and working equipment in the practice. 

Benefits: Hourly wage range of $18-$22 per hour. Full time hours Monday thru Thursday admin hrs. on Fridays, health care coverage, paid holidays, and paid vacation. 401K, uniform allowance, amazing opportunity for bonuses, and more.

Essential Job Function: 

  • Sets up and prepare dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines, which includes decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, wrapping and packaging complex sets of instruments for sterilization. 
  • Stocks supplies and replenishes sterilization area. 
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment. 
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 
  • Performs all testing based on OSHA standards 
  • Keeps sterilization room in superior condition meeting OSHA standards with 100% accuracy. 
  • Maintains accurate OSHA records for all testing and maintenance performed. 
  • Collects and prepares disposal of hazardous waste. 
  • Helps set up treatment area 
  • Performs duties within OSHA, HIPAA, healthcare, and orthodontic regulations 
  • Other duties as required

  • Knowledge of Orthodontics and associated treatment appliances and equipment used

Education and Experience 

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1-3 Years Relative Experience
