JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Serves as a strategic partner between the HR organization and bank leadership of assigned organizations.


Essential Functions

  • Works closely with leadership and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Consults with executive and line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) to assigned bank leadership and staff.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Work with other HR Business Partner(s) to address and review/approve documentation of issues – handle consistently across company
  • Prepare, review, and obtain approval on terminations; could be the HR representative to witness the termination
  • Coach managers on how to deal with issues and coach up employees
  • Supports change management activities.
  • Provides guidance and input on workforce planning and organizational design.
  • Work with their assigned business units to strategize on business line structure
  • Keep organizational charts updated and approved by CHRO
  • Support partnered Talent Acquisition Specialist to ensure Staffing Policy is followed
  • Annually update Comprehensive Job Model job descriptions
  • Review 90 day evaluations and handle appropriately
  • Work with other HR Business Partner(s) to address reasonable accommodations consistently across the company and provide documentation and follow up
  • Assist with set, process, and completion of annual evaluation process

  • Ability to establish a relationship as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and compensation.
  • Experience with Workday is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of policies, applicable laws, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.


Physical Demands

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.


Travel

Ability to travel as needed to assigned locations is required.

 

Education and Experience

  • Seven or more years of increasing responsible Human Resources experience, including experience in multiple HR functions, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field; or equivalent additional related experience required.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or related professional certification is a plus.
