POSITION SUMMARY: MRI Technologist reviews MRI ordered and accesses which protocol to use. Proper parameters must be used to obtain quality images for diagnostic purposes. Proper techniques must be used to obtain quality films for diagnostic purposes.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performing MRI exams

• Clinical duties

• Start IV for contrast studies when needed

• Review the MRI safety screening sheet with patient

• Investigate MRI Safety of implants

• Other duties as assigned – i.e., maintaining equipment and supplies


HOURS

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week, from 6:45AM-7:30/8PM (no call required)
  • Rotating weekend shifts

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registration as an American Registered Radiologic Technologist and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist.

EXPERIENCE

  • a minimum of 1-year work experience in a health care facility setting.
  • Excellent clinical skills with outstanding customer service skills are required.
