We are a private, not-for-profit organization that coordinates public health grants for a 26-county region in central PA, seeking a Nutritionist to work in the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program in Cumberland County. This is a full-time position.

 

Requirements

The successful candidates will provide nutrition education to clients, promote and support breastfeeding, prescribe and tailor food packages, refer clients to other health and social services, and maintain documentation of client care plans. WIC program experience preferred but training will be provided.

Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred or a degree in another health science field such as Public Health with a minor in Nutrition. Must possess excellent customer-service and communication skills. Local travel in both Cumberland and Perry County, and some evening and Saturday hours may be required.

 

Child Protection Clearances (formerly "Act 153 Clearances")

The following clearances and background checks are required upon employment and as a condition of continued employment:

  • PA State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH)
  • FBI Criminal Record Check, from fingerprinting
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance (PACA)
