The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technical Coordinator to support patient flow, clinical efficiency, and team coordination within the office.

This role combines advanced ophthalmic technician responsibilities with workflow oversight and team communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and document vision testing (distance, near, peripheral, depth, color)

  • Administer ophthalmic drops (dilating, anesthetic, medicated)

  • Triage urgent cases and manage physician schedules

  • Prepare exam and procedure rooms; assist ophthalmologists as needed

  • Perform first-level maintenance on ophthalmic equipment

  • Support training and communicate scheduling or workflow variances

  • Escalate issues and report updates to the Office Manager

  • Maintain infection control and patient confidentiality standards

What You’ll Bring

  • Ophthalmic technician experience required

  • Strong knowledge of ocular pharmacology preferred

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting

  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and patient-focused mindset

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs
