Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the operations of our home care facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home community care and operations management, with a passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and dementia care. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
Coordinate activities and programs that promote social engagement and personal development for residents.
Maintain effective communication with families, staff, and external service providers to ensure continuity of care.
Monitor resident health and well-being, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
Lead staff meetings to discuss resident progress, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
Ensure the home environment is safe, clean, and conducive to the well-being of all residents.

Qualifications

Proven experience in home community care or a similar role within a group home setting.
Strong background in operations management, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
Knowledge of dementia care best practices is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple responsibilities.
A nursing background or relevant certifications in health care management is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
