We are looking for:Emergency Veterinary TechnicianÂ
Schedule: Monday, Friday every other weekend 8:30pm-7am
Compensation: This position has an initial hiring range of $27.25 to $45.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.Â
We support our evening caregivers with lucrative shift differentials:Â
-Hours worked between 8pm-11:59pm = base pay +$4/hour
-Hours worked between 12am-8am = base pay +$6/hour
-Hours worked on Saturday and Sunday (day or night) = base pay + $3/hour + any applicable differentials.Â

What you’ll do:Â

- Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryÂ
- Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessmentÂ
- Partner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concernsÂ
- Provide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsÂ
- Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and proceduresÂ
- Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsÂ
- Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresÂ
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testingÂ

Who you are:Â
- State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferredÂ
- Prior veterinary experience required, previousemergency experience desiredÂ
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)Â
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryÂ
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsÂ
