Assistant Information Technology (IT) Support Lead Personnel

Position Summary

K2 Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Information Technology (IT) Support Lead to support enterprise IT operations for a Department of Defense customer. Working under the direction of the IT Support Lead, this position assists with cybersecurity, systems administration, network operations, Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance, and technical team leadership. The Assistant IT Support Lead serves as a technical advisor while ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant IT services that support mission-critical operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily management of enterprise IT operations.
  • Support system administrators, network administrators, and desktop support personnel.
  • Assist in implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Manage RMF documentation and compliance activities within eMASS.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments using ACAS/Nessus.
  • Analyze scan results and develop mitigation plans.
  • Maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and other RMF artifacts.
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
  • Coordinate incident response activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to IT personnel.
  • Assist with enterprise infrastructure planning and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field; or Associate degree with qualifying experience.
  • Current DCWF Information Systems Security Officer (722) certification at the Intermediate or Advanced proficiency level (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
  • Experience managing RMF packages in eMASS.
  • Experience conducting ACAS/Nessus vulnerability scans.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of NIST RMF and DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Army or USSOCOM networks.
  • Experience with enterprise cybersecurity operations.
  • Microsoft, VMware, or Cisco certifications.
  • Experience supporting classified environments.
