Information Technology (IT) Support Lead

Position Summary

K2 Solutions is seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Support Lead to oversee enterprise IT operations supporting Department of Defense mission systems. The IT Support Lead provides technical leadership for system administration, cybersecurity, network operations, and end-user support while ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant IT services. This position supervises technical personnel, manages enterprise infrastructure, and serves as the primary technical advisor to government leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead daily IT operations supporting enterprise infrastructure.
  • Supervise system administrators, network administrators, and desktop support personnel.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Oversee Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance activities.
  • Manage data center operations, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and enterprise networks.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
  • Coordinate incident response and disaster recovery activities.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and DCWF requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT staff.
  • Develop project plans and manage technical initiatives.
  • Support Authority to Operate (ATO) sustainment activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and executive briefings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or associate degree with qualifying experience).
  • Current DCWF Information Systems Security Manager (722) certification at the Intermediate or Advanced proficiency level (e.g., CISSP or CISM).
  • Minimum four years of supervisory experience managing technical teams.
  • Experience managing enterprise data centers, virtualization, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of NIST RMF, cybersecurity principles, and DoD security policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting U.S. Army or Special Operations IT environments.
  • Experience managing enterprise cybersecurity programs.
  • ITIL, PMP, or Microsoft enterprise certifications.
  • Experience with VMware, Microsoft enterprise technologies, and cloud-enabled environments.
