Position Summary

K2 Solutions is seeking a System Administrator responsible for administering and maintaining enterprise Windows server environments supporting Department of Defense mission systems. This position ensures system availability, security, and performance while supporting mission command applications and cybersecurity compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Administer VMware virtual infrastructure.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise services.
• Support SharePoint administration.
• Monitor system health and performance.
• Perform system backups and disaster recovery activities.
• Apply security patches and system updates.
• Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives.
• Administer Army Mission Command systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and server issues.
• Maintain system documentation.
• Support Authority to Operate requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent military training.
• Current Security+ CE, CySA+, or equivalent DCWF certification.
• Experience administering Microsoft Server environments.
• Experience with VMware vCenter.
• Knowledge of SharePoint administration.
• Experience supporting Army Mission Command systems.
• Experience using ACAS, AESS, Trellix, and Microsoft Defender.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified professional certifications.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
• Experience in classified environments.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
