Healthcare United is seeking a full-time PM&R Interventional Pain Management Physician to join an established outpatient practice in Fort Pierce, Florida.

This is a highly interventional, procedure-heavy opportunity for a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with Pain Medicine training and direct experience managing personal injury and workers’ compensation patients.

The physician will evaluate musculoskeletal, acute, and chronic pain conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, perform interventional procedures, and manage patients throughout their course of care. Candidates must understand the detailed documentation, functional assessment, medical necessity, and care coordination requirements associated with PI and workers’ compensation cases.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a procedure-heavy interventional pain schedule
• Evaluate musculoskeletal, acute, and chronic pain conditions
• Manage personal injury and workers’ compensation patients
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Perform appropriate interventional pain procedures
• Review diagnostic imaging, medical histories, and previous treatment records
• Document objective findings, functional limitations, medical necessity, and patient progress
• Coordinate care with referring providers, case managers, attorneys, and clinical staff when appropriate
• Educate patients regarding procedures and expected outcomes
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• Pain Medicine fellowship training or substantial interventional pain experience
• Personal injury and workers’ compensation experience required
• Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain
• Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
• Strong procedural, musculoskeletal assessment, and documentation skills
• No visa sponsorship available
