Description

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of all guests, employees, and physical assets of Skytop Lodge.  


REPORTS TO: Security Chief & Assistant Security Chief  


PRIMARY DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

  1. Patrolling the entire property and documenting rounds.
  2. Investigating incidents occurring on property and submitting detailed reports.
  3. Aiding in the event of fire or other emergency situations.
  4. Investigating complaints and notifying law enforcement authorities as necessary.
  5. Administering and maintaining locking systems throughout the property.
  6. Transporting daily cash receipts to local banking institutions.
  7. Initiating measures to improve or maintain safety and security standards.
  8. Monitoring activities in employee dormitories for safety and welfare of residents.
  9. Will assist with any guest services, which may be required after 11pm.
  10. Accurately record the temperature of employees reporting to work and enforce all policies procedures set forth by the company.

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Maintaining the safety and security of all guests, homeowners, employees, and physical assets of property. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Walking for extended periods of time, bending, stooping. Must be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds. Must be able to hear and see well with corrective devices if necessary. 


WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, weekends, holidays and alternate shifts. Work takes place on all locations on the property, and in all kinds of weather. Hiring for full-time only. 


HAZARDS ENCOUNTERED: Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens; disorderly or disgruntled guests, uninvited visitors, and/or employees; criminal activities in progress. Exposure to inclement weather, including slippery or icy driving and walking conditions is also part of the job.

Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED: Good interpersonal and administrative skills, a refined ability to communicate both in writing, orally, and good judgment. Must possess valid PA driver’s license and a clean criminal record.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate, Ability to understand verbal and written instructions. Training in 1st Responder, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens and AED required.


PRIOR EXPERIENCE:Preferably some hospitality security experience and knowledge of basic first-aid. 


SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of fire and safety regulations pertaining to hotels.


PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS: Must be a team player, service orientated, flexible, trustworthy, organized, and able to work under pressure. Must maintain a professional image representative of property.
