Gemini is looking for a 1st shift Material Handler to join the team at our location in Cannon Falls, MN. This position is responsible for the movement of products and regrinding of materials. Wage Range: USD $19.36-$25.38 per Hour 

Location: Cannon Falls, MN

Type: Full Time, onsite

Schedule: 5/8 hour days 7am-3:30pm (Monday through Thursday)

  • Overtime is scheduled as needed.

A day in the life of a Material Handler at Gemini includes: 

  • Responsible for efficiently and safely operating machinery to grind plastic scrap, ensuring a consistent flow of material, and maintaining a clean work area
  • Remove scrap from work locations and transport to appropriate recycling areas.
  • Completes required documentation and updates receiving database on all material received.
  • Places received and inspected materials in appropriate bins, shelves, and storage locations, ensuring that materials are stored in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Make computer entries pertaining to all shipping and receiving transactions.
  • Performs the duties of a Utility Operator as time allows and needs dictates.
  • Ensures material is moved around the facility in accordance with the manufactured process to meet the deadlines required.
  • Conducts a monthly inventory of raw materials and provides such information to the Plant Manager.
  • Operates all equipment in a safe manner and always follows standard safety rules.
  • The work environment is clean, bright, and hot around equipment.
  • Reporting to our Plant Supervisor

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Must complete powered industrial truck certifications and successfully pass performance tests.
  • Customer focused mindset with ability to work on projects simultaneously.
  • Openness to flexibility to work in multiple areas depending on company’s needs.
  • Above average skills in problem solving, troubleshooting and communication.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years forklift operation experience (standup and sit down forklifts), preferred
