As a Janitor at Sarris Candies, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Shift: Full Time, daylight, Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed cleaning and sanitizing of floors (dust mopping, wet mopping, floor scrubbing and waxing), walls, windows, mirrors, and surfaces in warehouse and office areas, and lunchrooms.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms (using approved disinfectants), including floors, walls, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and baseboards.
• Vacuum rugs, empty trash cans (including lunchroom, warehouse and exterior trash bins), and maintain supplies (refill toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.).
• Maintain safety and report safety hazards immediately.
• Maintain organization by returning supplies to storage, properly disposing of dirty rags, and refilling cleaning caddies.
• Complete additional cleaning projects; such as painting and pressure washing.
• Assist warehouse picking and packing as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Previous sanitation experience within a food production environment highly preferred
• Commitment to warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable attention and punctuality
• Flexibility for occasional non-routine tasks
• Availability for weekends as needed (though primarily weekday shifts).
• Positive attitude and team player

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for an entire shift
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, turn, twist, reach for extended periods
