Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our U.S. headquarters finance team located in Canonsburg, PA. This role is ideal for a strong accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and brings both analytical rigor and sound judgment to their work.

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data across multiple accounting functions. This position partners closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to support financial reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Accounting Manager in maintaining accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal control standards
  • Execute and meet all monthly close requirements, including preparation and posting of journal entries (accruals, adjustments, and recurring entries)
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including planning, documentation, and audit support
  • Analyze financial results by preparing variance analyses (budget vs. actual) and other ad hoc reporting
  • Review and reconcile Goods Received Not Vouchered (GRNV) accounts; collaborate with vendors and plant operations to resolve discrepancies
  • Support and participate in Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice entry and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Manage cash flow activities, including:
    • Preparing short- and long-term cash flow forecasts
    • Monitoring actual vs. projected cash positions
    • Processing payment requests and coordinating approvals
    • Communicating risks related to vendor payments or cash constraints to leadership
  • Identify and drive process improvements across accounting and cross-functional workflows
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CMA, CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle month-end close
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP (IFRS exposure a plus)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP or JD Edwards preferred) and financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, take initiative, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
