Goodman Dermatology - Front Desk Receptionist - Roswell

Medical Receptionists are the first point of administrative contact for patients in the office. They perform a variety of essential office functions, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in and out.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival for their appointments.
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by ensuring the collection of all necessary documentation for treatment and accurately collects and applies payments for services and products.
• Answers the phone politely and consistently, using proper telephone etiquette; directs calls as necessary. 
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying clinical staff of arrivals, monitoring potential delays, communicating with patients and staff, and checking patients in and out for their appointments. 
• Keeps office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs and monitoring office equipment. 
• Learns new products and maintains an accurate inventory of all items. 
• Ensures a positive patient experience through excellent customer service. 
• Verifies patient health benefits with approved healthcare companies. 
• Responsible for scheduling appointments
• Sends out and receives medical records and referrals for patient care.
• Keeps the reception area clean and organized.
• Works in a team environment to accomplish everyday tasks in a collegial manner. 
• Travel to other locations
• Other duties as assigned.

• Full-Time
• Monday – Friday

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1 -2 years of medical office experience preferred.

Communication: Excellent oral communication skills; effective communication.

Work Style: Must be able to work well independently but ask for help when needed—the ability to analyze and interpret information, and interact and decipher information telephonically and electronically.
