Infant Lead Teacher – Early Childhood Education

Pay: $17–$20 per hour, based on experience and credentials

The Learning Experience – Canton is seeking a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to create a warm, responsive classroom for our youngest learners.
Our Infant Teachers provide more than exceptional care. Through meaningful interactions, sensory exploration, movement, and individualized routines, you’ll help babies develop secure relationships and reach important early milestones.
What You’ll Do
- Â Lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging Infant classroomÂ
- Â Provide attentive care while following individualized feeding, diapering, and sleep schedulesÂ
- Â Create age-appropriate sensory, movement, language, and early learning experiencesÂ
- Â Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional developmentÂ
- Â Observe developmental milestones and maintain required classroom documentationÂ
- Â Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with familiesÂ
- Â Guide and collaborate with Assistant TeachersÂ
- Â Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroomÂ
- Â Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirementsÂ
What We’re Looking For
- Â High School Diploma or GED requiredÂ
- Â Previous professional childcare or early childhood experience strongly preferredÂ
- Â Infant classroom experience preferredÂ
- Â CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credentials are a plusÂ
- Â Knowledge of safe sleep and appropriate infant care practicesÂ
- Â Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-orientedÂ
- Â Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirementsÂ
