About the Role
As a Loan Servicing Specialist I – Payments, you’ll play an important role in keeping residential loan servicing running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll process payments, payoffs, adjustments, and other loan transactions while ensuring records are accurate, accounts are balanced, and member requests are handled promptly. This detail-focused role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and keeping things organized.

What You'll Do
- Process loan and lease transactions through the core system, including payments, payoffs, corrections, fundings, and account maintenance.
- Prepare residential payoff letters, complete related file maintenance, and monitor assigned daily reports.
- Resolve lockbox rejects, post ACH payments from the general ledger, and support month-end balancing activities.
- Process warranty and GAP cancellation requests, including flat cancellations submitted by dealerships.
- Balance daily checks, treasurer’s checks, debits, credits, and withdrawals while scanning, imaging, repairing, and balancing check batches.
- Respond to member, branch, and internal department inquiries, resolving routine questions and concerns accurately and professionally.
- Process residential servicing activities such as escrow transactions, vendor outreach, and member request queues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation while following established procedures, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify and escalate discrepancies, exceptions, or issues that require additional review or resolution.
- Support additional servicing projects and provide backup assistance across the department as needed.

What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of banking, loan servicing, financial services, or related experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of loan servicing processes, payments, payoffs, and account maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when processing financial transactions and balancing accounts.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with members and colleagues across the organization.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional and courteous approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to follow established procedures, maintain confidentiality, and comply with applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on business needs.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00Â per hour, excluding fringe benefits or potential incentives. If you're hired, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.
