About the Role
As a Loan Servicing Specialist I – Residential, you’ll help ensure our members’ mortgage and home equity loans are serviced accurately and efficiently from day to day. You’ll handle routine loan servicing activities, maintain accurate records, and provide responsive support to members and internal teams. This is a great opportunity to build your knowledge of residential loan servicing while developing your skills in a collaborative, detail-focused environment.

What You'll Do
- Process routine residential loan servicing transactions, including payment posting, account maintenance, and basic loan updates.
- Support loan boarding by reviewing documentation and accurately entering loan information into servicing systems.
- Review assigned loan files and transactions for completeness and accuracy, escalating discrepancies or exceptions as needed.
- Assist with escrow activities, including data entry, analyses, and disbursements.
- Respond to member and internal inquiries through phone and servicing queues, providing timely and professional support.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and complete loan records in accordance with Credit Union policies and applicable regulations.
- Assist with reports, reconciliations, and quality checks, identifying and escalating variances or issues.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve routine servicing questions and issues.
- Provide backup support across residential servicing functions as needed.

What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of banking, loan servicing, financial services, or related experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of residential mortgage, home equity, and loan servicing processes and terminology.
- Experience with Encompass or other loan servicing systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions and maintaining records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with members and internal teams.
- Positive, collaborative approach with a willingness to learn and support team goals.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain an understanding of applicable mortgage and loan servicing regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base range for this position is $22.50 - $25.00Â per hour, excluding fringe benefits or potential incentives. If you're hired, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.
