Position Summary
As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in supporting warehouse and shipping operations by transporting materials, loading and unloading trailers, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are delivered to production and shipping areas safely and efficiently. This position requires forklift operation, scan gun experience, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Follow all written work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Complete daily forklift inspection checklists.
  • Safely transport materials and parts throughout the facility using an electric forklift.
  • Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Put away incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Accurately scan and record inventory transactions using a handheld scan gun.
  • Maintain clean, organized warehouse, raw material, and packaging storage areas.
  • Assist with manual material handling by getting on and off the forklift to pick up, move, and organize boxes and materials as needed.
  • Notify supervisors of inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or unresolved problems.
  • Support production and shipping operations while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 months of material handling experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous forklift operating experience required.
  • Experience using handheld scan guns and warehouse inventory systems.
  • Ability to accurately record inventory transactions.
  • Comfortable performing physical work, including frequent lifting, bending, walking, and getting on and off the forklift throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
