Job DetailsJob Location: Canton, MA 02021Salary Range: $21.00 - $27.00 HourlyWe currently seek Full time direct care MHA Paraprofessionals for Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm shifts. The MHA Paraprofessional is responsible for various duties including, but not limited to assisting the Teacher in individual and group instruction, assisting with daily living skills, and personal care instruction to students under the direct supervision of the special education teacher to whom they report.  It is an hourly, non-exempt, full-time position.  Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday beginning at one of JRC's residences, which may change depending on JRC’s needs. MHA Paraprofessionals may also be required to work during DARs (day at the residence) as determined by scheduling/staffing needs. This position affords a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with and knowledge of the current methods for treating those on the autism spectrum or those with conduct disorders or psychiatric issues. This Direct Care position in the Education department leads to advancement opportunities within JRC. Applications are accepted on a walk-in basis, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm; we also conduct interviews on the same day as applications. Full-Time Rate- $21-$27 per hour Benefits Snapshot: Current staff members working overtime earning approximately $10,000 monthly Annual Salary may reach over $100,000 with extra shifts $3000 First year sign-on bonus! $3000 Referral bonus. Annual longevity bonus. Extra pay for verifiable experience. Monday- Friday schedule. Weekends off Weekend, overnight and assignment differentials. QualificationsQualifications: Possession of an Associate’s (or higher) degree OR one of the following: Completion of at least two years or 48 credit hours of study at an institution of higher education. An assessment by the Director or Assistant Director of Education measuring ones knowledge of and ability to assist classroom teachers in reading, writing, and mathematics. Teaching/instruction experience and demonstrated competency to be determined by the Special Education Director or Assistant Director of Education.
