Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the execution of industrial cleaning and emergency response projects, while driving sales growth and fostering strong customer relationships. This role blends operational excellence with proactive business development, requiring a seasoned professional who excels in both project management and client engagement.


This individual will lead large-scale projects, outages, and turnarounds, while also generating new business opportunities, expanding existing customer accounts, and supporting the sales lifecycle—from lead generation to closing. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, field operations, and branch leadership, ensuring seamless delivery of services that meet SES's high safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, resource allocation, and execution of industrial cleaning and environmental services.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Act as a safety and environmental leader by leading LPS, planning LPO, Leading near loss and Loss investigation. 
  • Mentor and coach Project Managers, Supervisors, and Technicians on technical operations, safety, and process efficiency.
  • Support outages and high-priority operations; serve as the point of contact for resource coordination with the customer and the SES.
  • Monitor KPIs related to operational performance, cost control, safety(LPS), and customer satisfaction. Using KPI to drive better equipment utilization of People and Equipment 
  • Serve as a key sales driver for the branch, responsible for meeting assigned revenue growth targets at assigned accounts. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and securing new opportunities within assigned Customers.
  • Lead site walkthroughs, scoping meetings, and proposal development.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Branch Management team to build pricing strategies and customized service solutions.
  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale project support to ensure exceptional client experience and retention.
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, customer engagement, and pipeline status using Sales forces or sales reporting tools.
  • Ensure consistent and professional communication with customers regarding schedules, service status, incident resolution, and billing.
  • Resolve service complaints promptly, aiming for continuous customer satisfaction and improvement.
  • Maintain a visible presence with customers at project sites to reinforce SES’s brand, values, and safety-first approach.
  • Ensure project-related documentation, job tickets, and billing inputs are timely, accurate, and complete. Approve invoices being sent to customers 
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and other branch-level quality initiatives.
  • Uphold adherence to all SES policies, including safety, HR, and regulatory compliance standards.


 

Education and Experience 

Required

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Environmental and/or Industrial Services, with 1+ years of sales or business development responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success managing large projects, multi-site operations, or key accounts.
  • Proficiency with industrial cleaning equipment including vacuum trucks, waterblasters, automated systems, and confined space operations.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally to client locations.


Preferred

  • Experience closing high-value service contracts or managing sales quotas.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience overseeing field teams.
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Job Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequent walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of equipment up to 50 lbs (adjust as necessary).
  •  Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and potential environmental hazards.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  •  Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, analyze operational challenges, and make high-stakes decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments 
  • Travel required, including overnight stays as needed
