Under the direction of the SVP, Information Technology, the Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Credit Union’s systems infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of both on-premise and cloud-based environments while supporting end users and maintaining critical IT operations.
The Systems Administrator serves as a key contributor to infrastructure stability, cybersecurity readiness, and operational efficiency, supporting both daily operations and strategic technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain server environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and rebuilds of existing systems.
- Manage system configurations across hardware, software, storage, directories, and services in alignment with operational standards.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and integrity of infrastructure and applications; review logs and ensure completion of scheduled jobs and backups.
- Administer and support cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and other enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across physical and virtual environments, including Active Directory, backup systems, and cloud services.
- Execute and monitor backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity readiness.
- Perform system patching, upgrades, and maintenance of operating systems, tools, and utilities.
- Support infrastructure performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
- Maintain data center infrastructure and environmental systems, ensuring operational continuity.
- Provide technical support to end users, responding to and resolving service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Support IT infrastructure projects, including implementation, testing, and deployment of new systems and enhancements.
- Conduct system, security, and access reviews; support audits, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity initiatives.
- Monitor system health and produce reports on performance, utilization, and trends.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Serve as a member of the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team, supporting detection, response, and remediation activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred; or equivalent experienceÂ
- 3–5 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure in a professional environmentÂ
- Hands-on experience with both on-premise and cloud-based systemsÂ
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and AzureÂ
- Experience with Active Directory, domain environments, and user access managementÂ
- Familiarity with networking concepts (LAN/WAN), backup and recovery processes, and infrastructure systemsÂ
- Experience with system builds, deployments, and virtualization preferredÂ
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base salary range for this position is $93,000 – $100,000 per year, excluding fringe benefits or potential incentives. If you're hired at Rockland Federal Credit Union, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We also take pay equity seriously and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please note that the range provided reflects the full base pay for this role.
