Location: City of Canton, Georgia

Security Clearance / Suitability

·        Must pass City background check

·        Must follow City IT governance and documentation standards

Role Summary

Ensures the City’s IT environment aligns with industry best practices. Maintains inventory, reviews configurations, and provides recommendations to the City’s IT Director.

Mandatory Requirements

·        Must maintain current documentation of the City’s IT environment

·        Must review configurations for best‑practice alignment

·        Must provide clear recommendations and findings

Roles & Responsibilities

·        Maintain inventory of all managed systems

·        Review configurations for compliance with vendor and industry standards

·        Identify end‑of‑life equipment

·        Provide quarterly alignment reports

·        Recommend improvements with estimated costs

·        Support strategic planning through data analysis

Education Qualification

·        Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, or related field

·        ITIL certification preferred

Experience Required

·        3–5 years of IT systems documentation or standards alignment experience

·        Experience with best‑practice configuration reviews and inventory management
