How you’ll make an impact in this role

 

  • Deliver expert clinical care to patients experiencing respiratory distress or critical injury, ensuring physiological stability throughout the high-stakes environment of air or surface transport.
  • Lead life-saving interventions by assessing patient needs in real-time and administering advanced medications to stabilize those in your care during transit.

  • Evaluate and adapt treatment strategies based on immediate patient responses, ensuring that every respiratory therapy and clinical action is optimized for the best possible outcome.

  • Communicate the patient’s journey with precision to receiving medical teams, providing the critical data and observations necessary for a seamless and safe transition of care.

  • Maintain mission readiness by rigorously inspecting specialized transport equipment and supplies, ensuring the safety and reliability of the environment for both the patient and your crew.


What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited respiratory therapy program AND 3 years minimum of ED or ICU experience required.
