Sales Associate

As a Sales Solutions Generalist you’ll provide each customer with the best experience possible by helping them find and purchase animals, supplies and services. During each interaction, you will discuss the needs of the guest and their pet/s to provide solutions for today, as well as in the future and assist with connecting them with a Specialist when appropriate. You’ll work the cash register and ensure that our merchandise is properly stocked and priced, providing an excellent experience for each of our guests. You can excel in this role by exhibiting a passion for the welfare, health, and proper handling of all animals as well as being a positive partner within the whole Pet Care Center team. Position Responsibilities include engaging with guests, assisting in merchandise selection, demonstrating care for animals, processing transactions, generating future business, stocking and pricing merchandise, completing training programs, adhering to policies, promoting teamwork, and completing other duties as assigned. The role requires teamwork, professional appearance, good communication skills, and a genuine interest in animals. Prior sales or retail experience and knowledge of pet nutrition are preferred. The work environment involves indoor duties with some physical activity such as bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods. Availability for evenings, weekends, some overnights, and holidays is required.
