Behavioral Health Technician - Ridgeway

Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
Pay: $17.38 - $19.78/hour + shift differentials

Note: Floating BHT is $18.59 - 20.99/hour due to flexibility needs.

Community Counseling Center offer's shift differentials for BHT staff who work an Evening or Overnight shift at its residential facilities.
Evening Shift: + $0.50/hour per hour worked on Evenings.
Overnight Shift: +$1.00/hour per hour worked on Overnights

Shifts Available

Full-Time

    • Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm
    • Monday, Tuesday 4:00pm - 12:00am, Saturday/Sunday 7:00am - 7:00pm
    • Thursday, Friday 3pm - 11pm; Saturday/Sunday 11:00am - 11;00pm
    • Floating BHT (Shifts vary depending on program needs, Must be able to work days, evenings, and overnights, Occasionally asked to float with short notice)

PRN

  • Typically 1 shift per week, any shift depending on need and your availability

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED/HSE

  • Must have or obtain a MO Class E Driver's License (no driving test-written test only)
  • Must meet agency motor vehicle standards and have reliable transportation

  • Continuous auto insurance required

Note:

Note: The Class E is just a written required computer test. No Driving Test has to be taken for the Class E. Then you would go to the DMV after the test is taken (passed) and transfer the license over to that Class E.

What You'll Do

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll be a key part of a supportive team helping adult women in a residential treatment environment:

  • Maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment

  • Support clients with daily living skills (hygiene, meals, medications, etc.)

  • Lead or assist with therapeutic and recreational groups

  • Teach emotional regulation, coping skills, and healthy habits

  • Document observations and interventions accurately

  • Perform safety checks (rooms, belongings, and grounds)

  • Provide client transportation as needed

  • Assist during behavioral crises and follow emergency protocols

  • Track and distribute medications under agency policies
