POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Beverage Server Reports to: Slot Supervisor

Department: Casino Beverage FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. Accountable for serving guests in designated outlet according the service specifications of that outlet to provide the guests with an outstanding dining experience

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.

1. Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect the guest/employee experience. Demonstrate resiliency dealing with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.

2. Responsible for complete and accurate set-up and breakdown of work area in a timely manner.

3. Responsible for taking orders, preparing drinks correctly and returning those drinks in a timely manor.

4. Complete all side duties as assigned by the outlet manager or supervisor.

5. Enter all orders correctly into the POS system to ensure a positive experience for the guest as well as protecting the assets of the company.

6. Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.

7. Responsible for assisting in the following: stock bar and beverage station items, fill ice bins, empty garbage, mop floors, and keep all areas clean.

8. Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.

9. Ensures the proper service of alcohol by following the current laws of the state and the policies of the company.

10. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.

11. Performs other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Beverage Server – December 2019

• Must be able to carry and balance a tray weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Mental Demands:

• Must be able to establish rapport with other team members throughout the casino

• Responsible for familiarization of cocktails and prices in order to insure proper ordering and expedition of beverage orders

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a smoking environment.

• Must be able to work in a gaming environment with exposure to bright/flashing lights, crowds and above average noise levels.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Education:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

• Cash handling experience.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of alcohol laws.

Other:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming license.

• Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.

• Must complete all required company training.
