Big Smiles Missouri, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Dental Assistant/Expanded Fuctions Dental Assistant Team Lead in St. Louis, MO and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school, working full-time.

Our innovative in school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment, working parents and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

Dental Assistant Qualifications:     

• X-ray License
• Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• Coronal Polishing (preferred, not required)
• CPR certified
• Work experience as a Dental Assistant
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and willing to travel
• Works well with children
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Team player and able to work on a small team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

• Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
• Digital X-ray Imaging
• Patient Records Charting
• Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance
• Travel Daily to and from school sites

Team Lead Requirements/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving company vehicleMust be at least 21 years oldMust be willing to travel dailyAbility to meet deadlines and arrive on-time each dayReliable, organized, punctualComputer skills – Microsoft office applicationsGreat people skills - ability to communicate with Adults & ChildrenMust have valid drivers license, clean driving recordOrder supplies, sterilizing instruments, spore testingResponsible for back office dutiesKeep van & equipment in good condition

Big Smiles is the nation’s leading in-school dental program founded more than two decades ago by two moms, who happen to also be dentists. The founders saw a tremendous need among underserved school aged children who did not have easy access to dental care and who often suffered from poor oral hygiene, tooth decay, pain and associated health problems.

Knowing that many parents could not take their children to the dentist due to issues including time off from work and transportation challenges, they sought to bring the care to the need.
