The Lutheran Home is seeking an IT Technician to join our healthcare community. Guided by our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship, this role supports employees and residents with technology needs, maintains IT equipment and systems, supports healthcare technology, and helps protect our systems and information through cybersecurity and HIPAA safeguards. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, connectivity and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure and maintain computers, tablets, printers and other technology.
- Support Microsoft 365, user accounts, applications and system access.
- Support EMR/HER systems and healthcare technology.
- Perform system updates, backups, security checks and routine maintenance.
- Assist with LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and internet connectivity.
- Maintain IT asset and support records.
- Assist with cybersecurity and protect PHI, ePHI and confidential information in accordance with HIPAA.
- Coordinate with vendors and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Provide end-user training and technical guidance.
- Participate in technology projects, upgrades and implementations.
- Provide after-hours or on-call support as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Type & Schedule:
- Full-time position. Typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Participate in after-hours or on-call support rotation as assigned.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic cybersecurity knowledge.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Education, Experience & License:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, preferred.
- 1-3 years of IT support experience preferred.
- Healthcare or senior living experience preferred.
- Valid Driver License.
Physical Requirements: Â
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical activities necessary to install and maintain technology equipment.
