POSITION SUMMARY

Century Casino Cape Girardeau is seeking an ambitious person to join our team as Banquet Server our world class casino on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Cape Girardeau.  Successful candidates will excel at creating an atmosphere of superior customer service for our guests.   This position works in cooperation with the Banquet Staging positon. The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. Banquet Server is also accountable for serving guests in our banquet ballrooms, foyers, and any other location as instructed.  Come and help make Century Casino Cape Girardeau’s new hotel the entertainment destination in SE Missouri.

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service  

  • Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Handle all guest challenges that arise and turn around guest challenges to exceed expectations, and create repeat clientele.
  • Assures the efficient smooth serving of a large number of guests in a timely manner. 
  • Follow the proper sequence of service as determined by the supervisor and event.

 

Operations 

Responsible for complete and accurate banquet/event functions in a timely manner and any other banquet functions as needed. 

  • Clean-up and secure banquet equipment, control inventory. 
  • Ensures the safety and security of guests and team members. 
  • Completes all side work as assigned by the manager/supervisor.  
  • Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.

 

Compliance 

  • Ensures the proper service of alcohol by following the current laws of the state and the policies of the company.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within the area of authority and reporting potential issues to Executive Management; GM.
  • Adheres to all gaming laws and regulations.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.

 

 

Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred, but not required.

 

Knowledge:

  • Must be able to read/write and follow instructions.

 

 

Other:

  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.
  • Must complete all required company training.
