Job DetailsJob Location: Congress Hall Hotel - Cape May, NJ 08204Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 HourlyPosition Overview: This position is under the direct supervision of the F&B manager on duty and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers and all visitors. These duties may be described as, but not limited to: Monitor door entry, screen out minors, intoxicated individuals and any other person causing an issue or problem. Report suspicious or unusual activity to the appropriate managers; investigate alarms or comments from employees or guests. Monitor noise levels in and outside and address issues when appropriate. Perform outlet patrols, protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire and accidents; investigate and write reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations. Provide any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors with the department's procedures; serve as trainer to new staff. May perform duties of MOD during required coverage and perform other related duties as assigned by a manager. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Good working knowledge of the entire property, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.  Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public, to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance, to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations. Qualifications
