Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Climb utility poles safely and efficiently
- Excavate trenches and holes for cable and pull box installation
- Work safely around energized equipment and hazardous conditions
- Perform lighting maintenance, including bulb replacement and troubleshooting
- Establish work zones with proper traffic control measures
- Assist with ground-level material assembly and preparation
- Perform work at heights with efficiency and precision
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools as required
- Utilize meters and testing equipment on systems up to 600 volts
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work at various heights
- Safe and efficient operation of a bucket truck
- Strong work ethics, displaying initiative, adaptability, and integrity
- Work 40+ hours per week to include during inclement weather, holidays, and/or weekends as needed
- Willing to work overtime, travel long distances on short notice for storm and/or emergency events as needed
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, and kneel on a regular basis
- Must have a current, valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within 6 months
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen
- Previous Street Light repair and maintenance experience preferred
